(SB526 Speed Motors)
Marathon’s Blue Max® Motor series serves various industrial applications, including chemical processing, paper mills and scrap choppers. These models feature Marathon’s exclusive MAX GUARD® insulation system — the only one of its kind to provide unlimited lead length between the drive and motor.
Carotron sells several models in the Blue Max® line. Learn more about these electric motors’ features and uses in industrial machinery.
Features of Blue Max® Motors
A notable feature of the Blue Max® Motor series is the patented MAX GUARD® insulation system. The system prolongs the motor’s life by providing protection under thermal and dielectric stresses created by pulse width modulation drives’ high switching frequencies.
Blue Max® motors deliver a constant torque from zero to base speed and constant horsepower to two times the base speed. The motors are performance-matched to all brands, ensuring years of trouble-free operation.
Additional features of Blue Max® motors include:
- Voltage: 230/460 VAC and 460 VAC, 50/60 Hz
- Torque speed range: 2000:1 CT
- Power rating: 1 to 1,250 horsepower
The motors have a 100% cast iron construction, including the frame and brackets, to withstand harsh environments.
